Lauren Stevens, LCMHC [she/her]

To introduce myself, I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor native to North Carolina. Throughout my years counseling I’ve gained experience working with individuals, couples, and families. I’m extremely passionate about helping my clients from ages 10 and up, and I look forward to providing you with healing, growth, and happiness. My specific areas of experience focus on working with adolescents, women’s issues, LGBTQ+ individuals, depression, anxiety, grief, and relationship challenges. My treatment and recommendations are based on each client’s unique situation, history, and presenting needs or goals, often utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy [CBT] and the Person-Centered beliefs of understanding, authenticity, and positive regard. But overall, I aim to use a variety of techniques that work best for you to create lasting change.

Therapy is a partnership between the client and their therapist, and I am here to make sure you feel supported and affirmed every step of the way. Together, we will create an environment where you can safely tackle problems in your life, begin to heal, and create goals for the future without the fear of judgment.
